Wednesday May 18th:
There were not very many people that morning and I am not sure if its usually that quite and if it always has such small numbers but none the less the spirit was strong and the Lords work is indeed the same everywhere. I think that I was able to appreciate more how fortunate I am to surrounded by so many temples in Utah.
In order for us to get to the temple this morning we had to buy a train ticket (12pounds 50p) and take a cab (6lbs each way) - that was about (give or take) $50 (american dollars). I then thought of people who lived even further away from Lingfield that had to pay much more for train rides, and I was reminded of people in other countries who will save for years in order to afford a trip to the temple. I am very blessed I live so near a temple where I could attend everyday if I wanted to.
There is such a feeling of peace and spiritual strength that comes over me in the temple. Sometimes is just the simple feeling of comfort and tranquility that calms my brain as its going rapidly over question after question. I clearly see what I am thinking, how I am living and what I need to be doing. I really do feel like I've left the world outside the temple doors, I am in a state of meditation and in the most real moment of consciousness that I could possibly be in. It feels wonderful to be able to do that. I hope that everyone, whatever their beliefs can find a place where they can meditate in prayer or whatever form of mediation they use to find their moment of consciousness and really embrace those moments.
